Facing the heat in India
A Hindu Holy man, Bal Mukund Brahmchari, 82, prepares to face the heat after applying a paste of sandalwood to his face today in Allahabad, India. Sandalwood paste, besides being of religious significance, helps in cooling the body temperature. With the onset of the summer season, which runs from March through May in India, different parts of the country have started experiencing heat wave conditions.
