CRANBERRY TWP — Current Pittsburgh Penguin radio analyst and two-time Stanley Cup champion Phil Bourque will be a guest for VOICe's Holiday Happy Hour Dec. 5 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cranberry Township.
The event — which includes complimentary hors d'oeuvres, cash bar, basket raffle and silent auction featuring Penguins' memorabilia — runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and is designed to raise funds for the Victim Outreach Intervention Center (VOICe).

Clarion University senior cornerback Anthony Stimac and California (Pa.) University senior middle hitter Meghan Franz were selected to the Capital One Academic All-District teams in football and volleyball, respectively.Stimac, a Karns City grad, and Franz, a Seneca Valley grad, will appear on the national ballot for the Academic All-America teams. The teams are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
ERIE — The Slippery Rock University volleyball team fell in straight sets to Gannon University on Thursday night by scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-16.The Rock (14-18, 7-10 PSAC) was led by Sarah Cadwallader and Michelle Hren with seven kills apiece. Morgan Reineke paced Gannon (24-5, 16-2) with 13 kills.SRU will wrap up its season on Saturday with a trip to Edinboro.
