Thomas Reichert
Thomas Joseph Reichert, 52, of Portersville died Thursday evening at his home following an illness. He was the recipient of a liver transplant on May 25, 2004.
Born Nov. 1, 1954, in Michigan, he was the son of Russell A. and Margaret Kenny Reichert.
Before becoming disabled, he was a truck driver for a gas company.
He was a member of St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church and the AARP.
He enjoyed telling jokes, crossword puzzles, reading, traveling, playing computer games and Moraine State Park.
A veteran of the Coast Guard, he served from May 10, 1972, to May 21, 1973.
Surviving are his mother of Hazel Park, Mich.; his fiancé Maureen (Keating) Clemens with whom he lived; a sister, Mary Perotti of Hazel Park; and two brothers, John Reichert of Hazel Park and James Reichert of Howell, Mich. Also surviving are a son, Brian Reichert of Detroit, and a granddaughter.
Mr. Reichert was preceded in death by his father.
