Erroll Robinson and Glenn Reepmeyer had 10 points apiece, but the Slippery Rock University men's basketball team fell to Shippensburg 62-48 on Saturday.

The Rock (5-20, 2-8 in the PSAC-West) shot just 34.8 percent from the floor including a 1-for-17 effort from the 3-point line.

Chuck Davis scored 16 points and Jamal Williams 12 to lead the Red Raiders (16-12, 7-3).

Cheer' Marshall had 16 points and nine rebounds and Nikki Presto 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals, but SRU dropped a 79-65 decision to Shippensburg .Amanda Kaufman added 10 points for The Rock (9-15, 3-7 in the PSAC-West).Shippensburg (16-9, 6-4) had five players reach double figures, led by Phylicia Bessick's 20 points.

Seneca Valley graduate Ashley Greene captured wins at No. 3 singles and teamed with Jessica Hilborn at No. 2 doubles to help The Rock dispatch visiting Walsh University 8-1 to improve to 7-2 on the season.Women's Indoor TrackAt the Kent State Tune-Up Meet, Andi Rose set a school record with a time of 8.15 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles race and another school standard in the winning 1,600 relay (3;54.05), which included Slippery Rock High graduate Melissa Sopher, Freeport High graduate Lacey Cochran and Jessica Sackin.Jen Hansen recorded the squad's other first-place finish, an 11 foot, 11 3/4 inches effort in the pole vault.Holly Whoolery was second in the 3,000 and Vera McDaniel was third in the 200.

Erik Dravenstott placed second in the pole vault (14-11) to highlight The Rock's performance at the Kent State Tune-Up Meet.Preston Gibbs was third in the triple jump (45-9.5) and Jeff Weiss provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II national championship meet with a fifth-place showing in the mile (4:12.44).
