Harmony Museum window installation continues

The installation of windows in the Harmony Museum is progressing.

According to the president’s report published in the Historic Harmony News, only 10 more windows need to be installed as of July 20. Plaster repair, window trim and painting needs to be done prior to the reorganization of displays.

“It will be a couple of months long process, but the completion will bring much needed repairs to the museum building and update of museum displays and organization,” according to the report.

In other news, a bluegrass concert by Dry Branch Fire Squad netted the museum around $600.

Museum committees are being reestablished and the museum is looking for members to serve on them. Committees include the Christmas market, other events/fundraisers, buildings and grounds, volunteers/membership, gift shop, outreach/education, newsletter, docent/museum tours, long range planning, finance/budget, and curatorial.
