Virginia Paulsen, 91, of Saxonburg, passed away on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at the Embassy of Saxonburg.

Born April 21, 1933, in South Park, Pa., she was the daughter of Joseph Vettori and Ella Gricar Vettori.

Virginia worked as a florist for 20 years. She was the first female bus driver for Bauman Bus Company, and she also worked at Knoch High School’s cafeteria. She enjoyed playing bingo.

Surviving are her sons, Dean (Jackie) Paulsen of Sarver and Don (Christy) Paulsen of Renfrew; daughters, Debbie (Mark) Grey of Chicora and Sharon (Tim) McCormick of Saxonburg; four grandchildren, Dean Paulsen, Kevin Grey, Daleen Paulsen and Casey Paulsen; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Paulsen; parents; brother, Albert Vettori; and grandson, Dustin Paulsen.

PAULSEN — Friends of Virginia Paulsen, who died Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Carmen Shullo Sr. officiating.

Interment will follow in Saxonburg Cemetery.
