Missing Middlesex teen found in Florida
MIDDLESEX TWP — A teenager is home after going missing for three months.
Cheyanne Eichenaur, 17, was last seen on Dec. 14 at her Steiner Bridge Road home. Her parents soon reported her missing, and police began their search.
Officer Randy Davison of the Middlesex Police Department said Wednesday that he received information last week that the girl was in Nassau County, Fla.
Last Thursday, Davison contacted police in Nassau County regarding Eichenaur. He sent them police reports on her case and photographs.
“Within two hours, they had her in custody,” Davison said.
He said he contacted her parents, and Eichenaur was turned over to the Nassau County Children and Youth Services.
Edwin Eichenaur said Wednesday that he and his wife picked up their daughter from a bus in Zelienople at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
“She’s fine,” Eichenaur said. “Apparently, she’s happy to be home.”
Davison said the girl left home voluntarily, and no charges likely will be filed here.
However, Davison said officials in Nassau County could charge the people who Eichenaur was with if they choose.
