Dorothy M. Thompson, 92, of Warren, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Gillette Nursing Home.

She was born June 9, 1932, in Butler, the daughter of the late Ernest McCollough and the late June (Kelly) McCollough.

Dorothy was a graduate of Butler High School and graduated from Butler County Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and Youngstown State University. She was employed as a registered nurse at Dr. Joseph Burns’ office for 20 years. She retired as an occupational health nurse from GE Ohio Lamp after 13 years of service. Dorothy was a member of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Rider; stepson, Gary (Dorothy) Thompson; stepdaughter, Candace (Paul) Niemi; stepdaughter-in-law, Mary Thompson; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William L. West; second husband, Ralph S. Thompson; son-in-law, Bill Rider; stepson, Ralph Thompson Jr; stepdaughter-in-law, Pamela Thompson; stepgrandchild, Tab; stepgreat-grandchild, Baby Bryan; sister, Gloria Miller; and brother-in-law, Leroy Miller.

THOMPSON — Friends of Dorothy M. Thompson, who died Tuesday, July 23, 2024, may call from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at CARL W. HALL FUNERAL HOME, 533 North Park Ave., Warren, Ohio.

Services will be held at noon Monday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, Ohio.
