“Alter Eagle,” an original Butler Eagle podcast, will feature Butler Eagle general manager Tammy Schuey in a new episode dropping Monday, July 29.

Podcast host Laura Crago discusses Schuey’s 33 years at the Eagle, her Editor & Publisher “15 over 50” Class of 2024 honor, and her experience attending the July 13 rally for former President Donald Trump.

In the podcast, Schuey shares her memory of the rally, the aftermath of the attempted assassination and her concern for her staff as well as the mental toll it has taken on the people of Butler. The discussion also turns to the role a newspaper plays in a small community like Butler and the work the staff puts into reporting the news. Listeners will hear about Schuey’s life outside of the Butler Eagle.
