MOUNT LEBANON — An oral surgeon accused of assaulting 20 female patients has been ordered to stand trial.

Forty-three-year-old Dr. Robert Boyda Jr., of Mount Lebanon, was ordered to stand trial Tuesday on numerous charges including aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and indecent exposure.

Defense attorney William Difenderfer says he's pleased that about third of charges were dismissed. He's suggested anesthesia caused the women to hallucinate.
