James L. Simons, 79, of Butler passed away Monday.

He was born July 16, 1932, in Butler and was the husband of Judy M. Simons.

Jim was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, an avid motorcyclist and hunter, and he was employed at Pullman Standard Car Co.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Simons, of 59 years; his son, Mark Simons and his wife, Patty Simons; and two grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Simons, all of Butler.

Jim was the last surviving member of three children born to Bertha Simons. He was the brother of Lucille and Jerry.
