Robert Elmer Lehere, 96, of Butler, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at Advanced Care Center, Butler.

Born May 9, 1928, in Butler, he was a son of the late Albert J. and Sophie Zevada Lehere.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in World War II.

He was employed at Armco, where he worked as a train conductor.

He is survived by three children, Sherry Puckett and her husband, Duane, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Robert A. “Peanuts” Lehere and his wife, Sheryl, of Butler, and Clair Lehere, of Livermore, Calif.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley A. Rummel Lehere, who passed away Jan. 31, 2009; and three siblings, Albert R. Lehere, Ronald J. Lehere and Betty Davis.

LEHERE — There was no visitation, and services and burial were private for Robert Elmer Lehere, who died Monday, July 8, 2024.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
