CLEARFIELD TWP — A Texas man is wanted on a felony arrest warrant in connection with an October shooting outside a bar.

Martin R. Ramirez, 34, of Houston is accused of firing three gunshots around 1:25 a.m. Oct. 14 in the direction of the County Line Tavern on County Line Road in Clearfield Township.

No one was injured, state police said, but one of the rounds struck a vehicle parked in the parking lot.

District Judge Lewis Stoughton issued the warrant Monday for Ramirez's arrest on a felony count of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief and summary counts of carrying a loaded weapon and harassment.

Just a short time before the shooting, police said, three men were reportedly asked to leave the bar after one of them grabbed a woman working there.

About five minutes later, employees heard what sounded like gunshots coming from outside.

Police reviewed surveillance video that showed three men leaving the bar and then a black pickup truck drive out of the parking lot shortly before 1:30 a.m., according to court documents.

Troopers searched the area and found three spent .380-caliber casings about 100 feet west of the tavern.

Police said they believe one of those rounds struck a vehicle that was in the parking lot, leaving a bullet hole in the rear driver's side window.

During the investigation, a trooper learned that a man at a local golf course clubhouse had been talking “about a shooting” at the County Line Tavern.

Investigators eventually spoke to the man, who recounted being in the back of the black truck that police believe had left the bar parking lot shortly before the shooting.

Ramirez, the man told police, was sitting in the front passenger seat, documents said, and was “the shooter.”

In their criminal complaint, police allege Ramirez grabbed the shoulder of the tavern employee that night.
