HARRISBURG — State Sen. Elder Vogel, R-47th, who represents the western part of Butler County, led his team to victory in the celebrity cow milking contest Friday at the Pennsylvania Farm Show.

The team got 0.9 pounds of milk from a Holstein. Vogel’s team members included the Pennsylvania Cable Network’s Larry Kasper, Pete Muntean and Matt Barcaro from WGAL, and state Banking and Securities Secretary Robin Weissmann.

Also on Friday, Connie Dunn of Butler won reserve champion with her ewe in the Merino category in the wool breeding sheep show.

The 100th annual farm show ended Saturday.
