Donald E. Mentzer
Donald E. Mentzer, 88, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at his residence.
Born July 25, 1933, in Butler, he was a son of the late James and Bernice (Williams) Mentzer.
He was retired from the Butler Armco Works following 28 years service.
Donald was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
He enjoyed dancing with his wife, bowling, hunting, fishing and the casinos.
Surviving are his five children, Sandra (Bruce) Babula of Tennessee, Mickie Mennor, Douglas (Blanche) Mentzer, David (Linda) Mentzer and Karen (Bill) May, all of Butler; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Smith) Mentzer; a son, Donald A. Mentzer, and his wife, Patty; four brothers, James “Jr.,” John, Thomas and William Mentzer; and four sisters, Betty McCool, Mildred “Toot” Crawford, Jean Schnur and Dorothy “Dot” McCullough.

MENTZER — Friends of Donald E. Mentzer, who died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Parish, St. Peter Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler.
Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
