Tourism bureau creates board slot
The Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau board approved the addition of Neil Glausier of Burgh’ers Brewing in Zelienople to the board to fill a newly created position representing breweries, wineries and distilleries in the county.
The position was moved from the restaurant group to create the new position because breweries, wineries and distilleries operate under different criteria and state laws, according to the bureau.
The new position was proposed in June, and a board committee concluded that there are enough members to justify creating the position.
Before becoming the brewmaster of Burgh’ers Brewing, Glausier served 12 years in the U.S. Army, working in civilian avionics/electronics, and later worked as a field and test engineer. In 2019, he graduated from the Siebel Institute of Technology’s World Brewing Academy Advanced Brewing Theory Program.
