The Rich-Mar Rotary Club recently presented Adams Township Supervisor Ed Vogel with a check for $6,000 to help finish stonework on the Rotary picnic shelter in the Adams Township Community Park.Over the last few years the club has supplied about $36,000 for the construction of the shelter.The club also presented a donation of $500 to Rotary member Ray Johnson for Contact Pittsburgh, an organization that Ray and his wife Betty have been actively involved in for many years.———
The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 64 recently elected officers for its new club year.Officers include
Art Greathead, commander;
John Eisler Jr., senior vice commander;
Leonard Kriley, junior vice commander;
Dan Gitzen, adjutant/service officer;
Terry Blair, treasurer for life; and
Ralph Mariotti, OOD and DAV Deputy.———During its June 8 meeting, the
Butler Duplicate Bridge Club named
Iola Croner and
Lynn Rafferty Gold Life Masters, having amassed more than 2,500 master points.The north/south winners were
Nancy Welsh and
George Cross.
Lynn Rafferty and
Alex Bealles were the east/west winners.Second place finishers were
Helen Brydon and
Betty Thompson, north/south,
and
Jan Horwitz and
Lorraine Worsley, east/west.
