Eleanor P. Kerven
Eleanor Painter Kerven, 91, of Butler died Wednesday at the Sunnyview Home.
Born May 1, 1916, in Cabot, she was the daughter of Chart W. and Dena Roenigk Painter.
She received a bachelor's degree in political science from George Washington University. Upon graduating, she went to work for the U.S. Government as a special assistant to U.S. Ambassadors in Iceland, Greenland, New Zealand, Greece and Turkey and retired after 27 years. She then worked for Merrill Lynch in New York for 10 years.
She was a member of the Calvary Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Butler.
Surviving are a brother, Lyle C. Painter of Butler; a sister, Jean Painter of Butler, and a number of nieces.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Painter.
<B>KERVEN</B> — Friends of Eleanor Painter Kerven, who died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, will be received from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy Bupp officiating.
