Many discussions had at Adams

ADAMS TWP — Supervisors had several discussions with township residents at Monday night's meeting.

Tina Wilson asked supervisors if they received a letter she sent last week detailing safety concerns she had about the Cypress Fields sewage pump station on Davidson Road.Supervisors opened her letter — signed also by Cathy Roach and Teresa Sirianni — before their meeting.“Several times we've sent letters,” Wilson said. “We hear nothing.”Supervisor Russell Ford said communication needs to take place among the developer, the township and the residents.“Let's start communicating,” Ford said.Wilson asked why a 36-inch pipe that was supposed to be installed two weeks ago by Bove Development Corp. hasn't been done.A representative of Bove said the pipe was delivered, but the manhole covers weren't. They should be delivered Wednesday. The installation should begin Thursday. Landscaping should take place after the pipe is installed.

Homeowners Association President John Wrobleski came to Monday's meeting to thank supervisors for progress made on the Kingsridge plan.“There's been a lot of activity,” Wrobleski said. “We're seeing some progress, I hope.”Wrobleski said some things still need to be done. He asked if the township has a schedule for completion, specifically about installing a stop sign.Township Manager Gary Peaco said there is no timeline.“The developer is responsible for that (sign),” Peaco said.Ford suggested the township fine the Kinsgridge developer for not installing the stop sign. The board agreed to investigate what remains on the developer's bonds and take corresponding action.

John Harris asked the board why nonemergency calls made from the park on the weekends are dispatched through 911.Specifically, Harris said a gas grill he used at the park wouldn’t turn on last weekend.“They had to use a screwdriver to turn it on and off,” Harris said.According to Harris, 911 had to take the call about fixing the gas knob because park director Haley Geyer does not work weekends. He suggested some of Geyer’s hours be moved to the weekend, when the park is most used.Ford said Geyer isn’t on “24-hour, seven days a week” call.“I don’t think we need to talk about the way we’re managing (our employees),” Ford said. “The appropriate protocol is to call 911 and they’ll dispatch the appropriate person.”Ford said the board will replace the gas grills with charcoal grills for next summer.
