KARNS CITY — Tables are now available for a pre-Mother's Day craft show April 29 at the Karns City High School Cafeteria.

The event will benefit the Karns City High School Cheerleaders.

ADAMS TWP — The Butler County Federation of Women's Clubs will hold an Arts Night at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Adams Township Municipal Building, 690 Valencia Road.The judge for the event will be local artist Tom Panei. Categories will include artist's choice, photography, literature and several craft categories.

Soroptimist International of Butler County will host an open house to celebrate International Women's Day from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Dingbats Restaurant.Information about the group's projects, membership and "Live Your Dream" campaign will be available. Pins promoting the campaign will be available for $5 each.

The Reality Tour, a drug awareness program for youth and their parents, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. April 10 at the Butler YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St.The program will portray a day in the life of a drug addict, including a visit to the Butler Prison and an emergency room overdose scene.The tour is open to children age 10 and older when accompanied by a parent or guardian.Registration forms for the April tour are due March 10. PENN TWP — The Penn Christian Academy will host a Scholastic Book Fair Monday through March 10 to raise funds for the school library.The fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. A family night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, featuring story readings, refreshments and door prizes.

CONNOQUENESSING TWP — An informational meeting will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hindman Hall, Route 68, for car clubs and individuals interested in car cruises, shows and socials and parts meets.Sponsored by the Butler Area Street Machines Association, the meeting will feature presentations by John Shapiro of Cruisin' Times Magazine, Dave Ehret and Ed Nelson of Dave and Ed's Auto Events, Allen Rodewald of www.BigAlsList.com, Jim Bauer of Pittsburgh Parts-a-Rama and Vito Capaccio of www.carcruises.com.The meeting will also include a 50/50 drawing.
