Douds

Catherine M. Douds, 82, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, passed away on Saturday morning, June 15, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born June 7, 1942, in Leechburg, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Dezzutti Pastiva.

Catherine had worked as an administrative assistant to the vice president at Blue Cross in Pittsburgh, as a secretary for the Mars Area School District and had also worked at SAE.

She was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish at St. Kilian Church, where she sang in the choir.

Surviving are her husband, Stephen W. Douds, whom she married on April 13, 1971; a daughter, Melissa Washington (Michael) of Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, Patrick Douds (Ashley) of San Diego, Calif., and Michael Douds (Melissa) of Mars; her grandchildren, Devin, Helena, Teddy and Will Douds; a brother, John Pastiva (Beatrice) of Streetsboro, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Pamela Pastiva of Leechburg.

She was preceded in death by a son, David Douds; and her brother, Stephen Pastiva.

DOUDS — Friends of Catherine M. Douds, who died Saturday morning, June 15, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, with Fr. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church.

Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery, Richland Township.
