ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Andy Rape, a native of Zelienople and junior defensive back for the University of Rochester's football team, was recently named to ESPN The Magazine's College Academic All-America Team.
After missing his sophomore season with an injury, the Freedom High School product started 11 games this past season and led the team with 53 solo tackles. Rape added two interceptions, a forced fumble and nine passes defensed.
Rape, a biomedical engineering major, carries a 3.86 grade-point average.
