James F.J. Haslett Jr., 78, of Butler, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024.

He was born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 9, 1945, to the late James F.J. Haslett Sr. and Helen Mang-Haslett.

He worked at American Bridge until it closed. He also worked in petroleum industry maintenance and at Diamond Run Golf Course. James was known for being a kind and caring father and grandfather. He loved to watch sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also loved to fish at Pymatuning Lake.

He was the father of Maggie (Rick) Ray and Liz Haslett; brother of Carol Ann Best; and grandfather of James Haslett and Nick and Emily Ray.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, James, Rob and John Haslett.

HASLETT — Family and friends of James F.J. Haslett Jr., who died Sunday, June 9, 2024, will be received from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road Butler. Prayers will immediately follow in the funeral home.
