Nancy McCombs
Nancy Carolyn McCombs, 83, of Butler, passed away at her home on Monday, June 10, 2024.
She was born in 1940 to Clarence and Edith Strabel of Evans City, and was the loving wife of 62 years to Robert W. McCombs.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Nancy’s greatest joy was spending time with and supporting the endeavors of her family. Nancy was loved by all who met her, as she showed love and acceptance to all.
Nancy attended Slippery Rock University and was employed at MSA until her retirement. Upon retirement, she became a nursing assistant at Butler Health System, providing unwavering care to patients until her passing.
Nancy was a woman of deep faith, love and selflessness, and was an active member of Meridian United Presbyterian Church, where she played in the bell choir and sang. When she wasn’t taking care of patients or in church, you could find Nancy in her vegetable garden, taking her beloved dog, Justin, for car rides, spending time with her family, or attending every possible extracurricular of her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert; brothers, Clarence (Marleen) and George (Dorothy); her children, Wayne (Melissa), Russell, Edith and Walter; her grandchildren, Shane (Sara), Corey (Amelia), Amy, Matthew, Katera and Ruth; and her six great-grandchildren.
