Nancy A. Gillott, 65, of Butler died early Wednesday morning at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after a long illness.

Born in Butler, Oct. 26, 1941, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Mary T. Niggel Faulk.

She was a 1959 graduate of Butler High School. An avid dog lover and breeder, she had groomed dogs at her home for nearly 40 years and bred cocker spaniels and schnauzers for years.

With her cocker spaniel, Whitney, a certified therapy dog, she volunteered and visited patients at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Sunnyview Home. She was a member of the Butler Dog Training Association.

Mrs. Gillott was a devoted and loving grandmother; and she especially enjoyed swimming and sunbathing, as she was a tanning enthusiast.

Her husband, Francis N. "Frannie" Gillott, whom she married April 9, 1960, died Dec. 11, 2006.

Surviving are two sons, Dewaine Gillott and his wife, Michelle, and Darin E. Gillott, both of Butler; and two grandchildren, Bria and Treh Gillott, both of Chicora.

She also is survived by a brother and his wife, Robert and Patty Faulk of Butler; a sister, Mrs. George (Connie) Prokopchak of Butler; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved cocker spaniel, Whitney.

<B>GILLOTT </B>— Friends of Nancy A. Gillott, who died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the <B>GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
