Keaton Hall, 11, son of Scott Hall, formerly of Butler, and grandson of Joyce Hall of Butler, has been chosen to travel to Holland as a sports ambassador in the People to People program.As part of the program, he will have the opportunity to compete in a U.S.-sanctioned soccer tournament and in the youth Friendship Games, a soccer tournament in Holland featuring teams from 25 countries.He is currently a member of the Scripps United Club competitive soccer team in Southern California.———
<B>The Butler County Symphony Association</B> has named <B>Edward Leonard</B> the winner of its first Young Conductor Competition.A native of Charleston, S.C., he is a student at Carnegie Mellon University in the performance in residence program.He will conduct Schumann's Overture, Scherzo, and Finale, opus 50 at the Butler County Symphony Orchestra concert at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Butler Intermediate High School.Leonard holds a bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston and a master's degree in conducting from Carnegie Mellon University.Tickets for the event are $18 for adults and $9 for students at the door.———
