Bowland

Dee Bowland, 95, of Prospect, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, while under the care of Advance Care Center of Butler.

Born May 9, 1929, in Etna, she was the daughter of the late Hayden H. and Mae Harris.

Dee was truly a woman of faith. She was a devout member of the Butler First Church of the Nazarene. Dee also loved to sing and was a member of the Hosanna Choir for many years. She loved wildflowers, birds and going for walks in the woods. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Dee leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Douglas Bowland, and his wife, Patti; her seven grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Donna.

In addition to her parents, Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth A. Bowland; her daughter, Yvonne Bowland; and her grandson, Kenny.

BOWLAND — Friends and family of Dee Bowland, who died Tuesday, June 4, 2024, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Butler First Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road, Butler, with Pastor Steve Smith officiating.

Dee will be laid to rest in Mount Chestnut Cemetery in Butler.
