Fire damages log home
ADAMS TWP — An early morning fire Monday damaged a log home on Four Wheel Drive.
The fire appears to have started on the outside of the A-frame, according to Adams Area Fire District Fire Chief Mark Reighard, The emergency call was made just after midnight.
Firefighters were able to contain the damage to the exterior. Reighard said the rental unit was vacant.
Firefighters got the blaze under control in about 15 minutes, said Reighard, who added crews remained there until about 2:45 a.m. dousing hot spots and cleaning up.
The fire is believed to have originated on the porch. State police fire marshal Jeff Crede was called to investigate.
Assisting the Adams department at the scene were fire departments from Callery, Middlesex, and Cranberry townships in Butler County, and Marshall Township, in Allegheny County.
No one was injured.
