Albert DeMarco Jr.
Albert J. DeMarco Jr., 75, of Parker passed away at 6:10 a.m. Thursday at the VNA In-Patient Hospice in Butler following a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 8, 1935, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Albert Sr. and Eleanor Murphy DeMarco.
He was married to the late Patricia Ann DeMarco, who passed away Dec. 22, 2006.
Al was baptized into the Roman Catholic faith.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from March 1955 through March 1957, being honorably discharged with the rank of SP/3.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 211 in Pittsburgh and was a retired driver for the former Pittsburgh Press.
He was a member of the former Cresson Lodge F&AM 576 for more than 30 years and also was a member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association.
Surviving are four children, Albert J. DeMarco III (Eileen) of Parker, Michael Blair DeMarco of Pittsburgh, Debora Ann McDonough of Florida and Patricia Ann DeMarco of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Jack, Albert J. IV, Christopher and Kaylin; two brothers, Frank and Edward DeMarco, both of Pittsburgh; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marietta DeMarco.
<B>DEMARCO</B> — Visitation for Albert J. DeMarco Jr., who died Thursday, July 22, 2010, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, 201 S. Wayne Ave., Parker. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Union Dale Cemetery, Pittsburgh.The VFW and American Legion of Parker will conduct a veteran's memorial service at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.Information also is available at www.buzardfuneralhomes.com.
