Nancy E. Tack, 68, of Butler went home to be with the Lord at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 17, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Julia Vallas Neill and the late Edward Neill.

Mrs. Tack was a 1962 graduate of East High School in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a member of the B.B.Q. Card Club in Youngstown, Ohio, since she was in high school. While living in Youngstown, she worked at the General Electric Light plant and the Straus Department Store.

After coming to Butler, she was the co-founder and CEO of DHT Construction, Inc. in Butler, along with her husband. She retired from DHT in 2006 after 19 years.

She served on numerous committees at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Butler, where she helped serve meals at Katie's Kitchen. Mrs. Tack was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she served on numerous committees.

She enjoyed playing cards, collecting bears and Swarovski crystal and loved to decorate their house, making it into a home. Mrs. Tack loved to shop with her granddaughters.

She supported her loving husband in all his commitments and helped him make small wooden crosses for a cross ministry. She had a strong Christian belief to bring others to the Lord.

Mrs. Tack is survived by her loving husband, David H. Tack Sr., who she married July 2, 1986; one son, David Benedict and his wife, Cindy, of Canfield, Ohio; two stepsons, David H. Tack Jr. and Eric Tack and his wife, Jody, both of Butler; one daughter, Eileen Benedict of Youngstown, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Robin Swidzinski and her husband, Dale, of Butler; five grandchildren, Ashley Tack, Maura Swidzinski, Dylan Swidzinski and Katie Knights, all of Butler, and Olesia Benedict of Canfield, Ohio; one brother, Edward Neill and his wife, Patti, of Herman; two sisters, Patty Brooks and her husband, Joe, of Austintown, Ohio, and Carol Metzka and her husband, George, of Boardman, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.

<B>TACK</B> — Friends of Nancy E. Tack, who passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Dr. J. David Panther officiating.
