Garing

Geraldine “Gerry” Francis Garing, 89, of Jackson Township, passed away at her home on Monday, May 6, 2024.

Born March 2, 1935, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Harold Currie and Ruth Knight Currie.

Gerry was a member of Grace Church of Harmony. She enjoyed the family farm and loved going to see the animals. Love for her family came first. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, her church and her friends.

Gerry leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Scott M. (Deborah) Garing, Nancy L. (Russell) Walters, Clay E. (Barbara) Garing and Donald H. Garing; her 13 grandchildren; her 26 great-grandchildren; her two great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Louise “Tuni” Burr; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Garing, who passed away on Sept. 30, 2018; and six siblings.

GARING — Friends of Geraldine “Gerry” Francis Garing, who died Monday, May 6, 2024, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Church of Harmony, 538 Main St., Harmony, PA 16037, with the Rev. Peter J. Everett officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerry’s memory to Grace Church of Harmony.
