SAXONBURG — Animal Partners of Butler County will sponsor a rabies clinic from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 14 at Knoch High School, 345 Knoch Road. Pets will be given a one year shot unless a prior rabies certificate is presented. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier. Animals must be at least 13 weeks old.

The Valencia Community Day picnic will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 15 at Adams Township Community Park. Registration begins at noon.The Valencia Area Historical Society will provide meat and beverages. Take a side dish or dessert. A sing-a-long will follow.

WEST SUNBURY —The Ladies Aide Circle of West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church, 215 W. Church St., will host a peach festival from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Aug. 13 in the social hall. A quilt show will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. in the sanctuary, hosted by the Moniteau Quilt Group.

HARRISVILLE — The Butler County Geneaological Club will hold a meeting and picnic at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Prairie Cemetery picnic shelter. Meat and beverage will be provided; take a dish and table service.

CENTER TWP —Newhaven Court at Clearview, 100 Newhaven Lane, will host a dog show from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 21. All breeds, ages and sizes may compete for Best Costume, Most Obedient, Cutest Dog and Best of Show. The $5 registration fee will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.
