BUTLER TWP — The Butler High School music department will host a choir and orchestra concert today at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.
Performers will include the senior high concert choir, girls ensemble, Chanticleer Singers and the orchestra.
Admission is free, but donations will benefit the Butler Memorial Caring Angels fund.

PORTERSVILLE —An open house for parents of prospective students to Portersville Christian School, 343 E. Portersville Road, will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 19.Portersville Christian School offers Christ-centered education to students in pre-K through grade 12 and regularly exceeds state and national educational benchmarks.The open house is for families who are considering Christian education for their children during the second semester of the 2011-12 school term, and will cover how to make a mid-year transfer.Families who would like to attend should call the school office at 724-368-8787, Ext. 10, and reserve a spot for the number of people who will attend, although walk-ins are welcome.
