GROVE CITY — A Night at the Library, a family fun event, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. March 12 at the Grove City Community Library, 125 W. Main St.

Activities will include nine holes of putt-putt golf, face painting and a toddler play area.

Tickets are on sale at the library.

[naviga:h3]Rodeo queen contest planned[/naviga:h3]

NORTH WASHINGTON — Applications are available for the 2016 North Washington Rodeo Queen contest. The competition will be May 7 at the rodeo grounds.

The queen will promote the rodeo at events in and around Butler County in the months before the rodeo.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Can hummingbirds fly backward? Do they “hitch” a ride on the backs of other birds?

Learn more about what these tiny winged creatures can and cannot do at the Bartramian Audubon Society meeting at 7 p.m. March 14 at Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road. Audubon Pennsylvania’s Judith Acker will be the speaker.

The program is free.
