Ruth C. Paoli, 86, of Duncanville, Blair County, formerly of Chicora, died at her home at 1:20 a.m. Thursday.

Born in Carbon Center Oct. 1, 1921, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Evelyn Convery Geibel.

She worked several years at the Parker Glass Plant.

Mrs. Paoli was an executive secretary for Church of Christ in Butler for several years and was a secretary for St. Fidelis Seminary in Herman for several years.

She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church of Duncanville.

She was married Feb. 17, 1941 to Peter J. Paoli, who died July 24, 1973.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Judith Paoli of Duncanville, with whom she made her home, and Theresa Elliott of Flinton, Pa.; two sons, Peter J. Paoli Jr. of Duncanville and Nicholas Paoli of Murrysville; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

<B>Paoli</B> — Friends of Ruth C. Paoli, who died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, will be received at 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday when a Mass of Christian burial will be held at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church, 409 N. Main St., Chicora, with the Rev. David D. DeWitt officiating. Burial will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.Arrangements are being handled by <B>Steighner Funeral Home</B>, Chicora.Memorial donations can be made to the donor's charity of choice.
