Nancy L. Barbish, 90, of Lancaster Township, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, while under the care of AHN Wexford Hospital.

Born May 22, 1933, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. Schroth and Mary P. Cress Schroth.

Nancy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the Greater Harmony Chapter of Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed her involvement in the Girl Scouts. Nancy volunteered and provided a safe shelter for battered women. She also played the baritone horn in a seniors’ band in Florida. She will be most remembered as a beloved and proud member of her family, who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Nancy leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children, Mary Lou Flecher and her spouse, Janet, Robert M. Barbish and his spouse, Lou Ann, and Cheryl L. Wick and her spouse, Jack; her five grandchildren, Robert M. Barbish Jr. and his spouse, Salli, Amanda T. Harper and her spouse, Kieran, Jessica M. Valdez and her spouse, Felipe, Catherine L. Warner and her spouse, Caleb, and Jackie L. Wick and her fiancé, Ray Williams; her 10 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Dylan, Kinsley, Isaiah, Joey, Austin, Luke, Bryson, Lillian and Emelia; and her loving companion dog, Travis.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael J. “Mike” Barbish Jr., whom she married on Dec. 31, 1952, and who passed away on Aug. 26, 2013; and her two sisters, Joan S. Lewis and Dolores J. Scott.

BARBISH — Friends of Nancy L. Barbish, who died Wednesday, April 24, 2024, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Harmony-Zelienople Global Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, with Pastor Dan Owen officiating.

Nancy will be laid to rest with her husband at Grace Church Cemetery in Harmony.
