Nancy Huff

Huff

Nancy K. Huff, 79, of Butler, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She fought hard and had a very strong will to live.

Born Jan. 11, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Charles Zaludek and Nellie (Schnitzki) Zaludek.

She graduated from Butler Area High School in 1962. She previously had worked as a cafeteria monitor at Lyndora Elementary, as well as Northwest Elementary, where she provided a lot of extra love and care for everyone. She previously worked as a seamstress at Bobby Brooks.

She married Kenneth L. Huff on Aug. 29, 1970. Nancy was an avid bowler. She was a member of the Women Classic League from 1962 to 2018. She loved playing bingo, going to the casino and buying scratch-off tickets, as well as playing her daily numbers. She enjoyed baking and cooking wonderful holiday meals. Her biggest passion in life was her two grandchildren. They were everything to her. She loved her family more than anything, even if they were constantly telling her outrageous stories and playing pranks on her.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Kenneth L. Huff; one son, Michael C. Huff and his wife, Kristi, and two very special grandchildren Joey and Gracie Huff, all of Butler. She is also survived by one sister, Joan (John) Waterbec, and one brother, Michael (Judy) Zaludek, both of Butler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle K. Huff, who died in 2022; two brothers, Charles “Butch” Zaludek and David “Zeke” Zaludek; as well as one sister, Carole S. Willison.
