Hazel R. Weyand
Hazel Rebecca "Grammy"Weyand, 73, died Monday in a fire at her home.
Born Dec. 14, 1933, in Greenville, she was the daughter of Clyde Thomas Jones Sr. and Hazel Lila Scriven Jones.
She was a Protestant.
Mrs. Weyand was a homemaker and worked at the Family Bowlaway Lanes. She also had worked at Bobbie Brooks.
A graduate of Westview High School in Allegheny County and of Butler County Community College, she was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts, where she was awarded the Thanks Badge, the Outstanding Volunteer Award and the Service Key Pin.
She also was a member of the BC3 Alumni Association, the MBSA Bowling League and the Super Women's Bowling League.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kevin (Bessie)Jeffries of Butler; two sons, Dalton Perry Weyand Jr. and Roy Douglass Weyand, both of Butler; a brother, Clyde Thomas Jones Jr. of Butler; three granddaughters, and three great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Weyand Sr., whom she married March 26, 1951. He died Feb. 16, 2004.
<B>Weyand </B>— Friends of Hazel Rebecca Weyand, who died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Jay</B> <B>Bryan Funeral Home, </B>443 Main St., Prospect. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Curtis officiating.
