Bill Diamond, a former Muppeteer with Jim Henson, has spun off to form his own studio and runs "Monster TV" with his own puppets. He will be part of the three-day Monster Bash taking place this weekend at the Butler Days Inn.

BUTLER TWP — It's time once again for Halloween in July, otherwise known as Monster Bash 2010.

The bash returns to the Butler Days Inn Conference Center on Route 8 from Friday through Sunday, featuring memorabilia vendors and stars of horror and science fiction movies.

This year's stars include: Billy Gray, who played "Bud" on the 1950s television show, "Father Knows Best," and who also appeared in "The Day the Earth Stood Still"; Julie Adams, star of "Creature from the Black Lagoon"; Charles Herbert, star of "13 Ghosts," and the original, "The Fly";

George "The Animal" Steele, WWF's monster man and an actor from Tim Burton's "Ed Wood"; Conrad Brooks, actor in "Plan Nine from Outer Space"; Bill Hinzman, original lead zombie from "Night of the Living Dead" and Bill Diamond, a muppeteer from Jim Henson's troupe with his monster Muppets.

Pittsburgh icon "Chilly Billy" Cardille from "Chiller Theatre" on local television will be there as well.

Stars will appear all three days, except "Chilly Billy" who will only be there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The event starts at 9 a.m. Friday with events and movies, with stars and vendors available from 3 to 6 p.m.

Saturday activities begin at 8 a.m. with stars and vendors available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Movies continue until after midnight both Friday and Saturday.

Events and screenings plus star appearances and vendors will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Admission at the door is $20 per day or $45 for the entire three-day event, screenings, talks and meetings with the stars, many of whom charge for autographs.
