Nickle

Ruth A. (Bowser) Nickle, of Butler, passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, April 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years old.

Ruth was born on Jan. 31, 1942, in Kittanning. As a young woman, she attended beauty school, where she found her passion for hair styling and beautifying everything around her — a passion she would continue to grow and hold onto throughout her life.

The love of Ruth's life was the late Robert A. Nickle. Robert and Ruth had twin boys in December of 1971, Richard L. Nickle and the late Michael W. Nickle. Ruth enjoyed laughing, playing bingo, chatting on the phone and Sunday breakfasts with her family.

In addition to her son, Richard (Jane) Nickle, Ruth is survived by her daughter-in-law, Heather Nickle; stepchildren, Penny (Chuck) Guiste, Sandra (Dale) McElroy, Shirley (David) McGranahan and John (Betty) Nickle; grandchildren, Courtney (Eric) Busch and Dakota Nickle; great-grandchildren, Ainsley and Margot Busch; and many treasured stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and others.

Her family would like to offer sincere thanks to Ruth’s extended family, friends, doctors and caregivers for providing laughs, love, kindness and care throughout and to the end of her life.

NICKLE — Family and friends of Ruth A. (Bowser) Nickle, who died Tuesday, April 9, 2024, are welcome to celebrate her life from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
