LEWISBURG — Seneca Valley senior Elyse Dobrick and junior Rose Snyder each earned two medals at the PIAA Class AAA swimming championships Friday at Bucknell University.
Snyder placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1 minute, 53.37 seconds.
Dobrick was eighth in the 100 butterfly (58.74).
Both swimmers then helped the Raiders 200 freestyle relay squad, which included Emily Wolfarth and Kelly Connolly, place seventh at 1:37.79.
SV junior diver Diana Rocco finished seventh with a final score of 384.35.
Other performances included SV's 200 medley relay team (Marissa Behning, Connolly, Dobrick and Hollie Miller) placing ninth at 1:50.94.
Wolfarth was 12th in the 200 freestyle (1:55.91), Butler's Molly Evans was 12th in the 200 individual medley (2:11.32) and Brittany Vogel was 30th in the 200 individual medley (2:17.63).
The Butler Catholic boys seventh- and eighth-grade basketball team beat Bishop Leonard-St. Mary of the Mount Academy 67-53 in the semifinals of the diocesan tournament Friday.Butler Catholic plays Holy Trinity at 4 p.m. Sunday at Central Catholic High School.
