Joseph Radwanski

Radwanski

Joseph Albert “Joe” Radwanski, 73, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Born in Butler, he was the son of the late Andrew and Veronica (Wojtyna) Radwanski. He celebrated his 36th wedding anniversary with his wife, Lindy (Clark) Radwanski, on the date of his passing.

Joe attended Penn State University for horticulture, and at age 60 graduated with a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety from Millersville University. He worked as a groundskeeper at Millersville University for 35 years until his retirement in 2018. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and served honorably during Vietnam on the USS Hancock.

Joe was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was known for his dry sense of humor, gentle soul, kind and patient nature and devout Catholic faith. His family affectionately remembers his love of food and sweets, and his joy taking trips to Central Market and Longwood Gardens.

In addition to his wife, Lindy, Joe is survived by stepdaughters, Tara Kirchgessner and Michelle von Lange; brother, Andrew Radwanski (Gail); sister, Patty Radwanski; stepbrother, Jeff Leach (Patti Osborne); stepsister, Sharon Twentier; four grandchildren, Frankie, Stella, Ashlynn and Audrianna; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his sister, Irma Radwanski; and a granddaughter, Alexis.
