Klara

Bernard “Bernie” Klara, born Feb. 22, 1969, to Winnie Joyce Klara and the late Stanley Klara, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024. He fought a strong and courageous battle against cancer.

He valued education and was always trying to learn new things. He had an associate degree in electronic technology and certificates in both plumbing and heating and air conditioning. He had several jobs in maintenance and welding. For the last fifteen years, he worked at Berry Metal in Harmony in various departments, ending in material handling.

He had a unique sense of humor and made so many people happy. He was most proud of his children, Alex, Shawna and Adam — nothing meant more to him than his family.

He will be forever missed by his wife, Mary, whom he referred to as the love of his life; his children; mom, Winnie Joyce Klara; sister, Joyce (John) Greene; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cherida Thrasher.

KLARA — Family and friends of Bernard “Bernie” Klara, who died Friday, March 29, 2024, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery.
