Norma Kamerer, born Feb. 1, 1935, died Friday, March 22, 2024, surrounded by her family, after a battle with cancer.

Norma was a beautiful women, inside and out. She will be remembered by her family and many friends who loved and admired her. She was 89 and lived in Butler all her life. She was born in Butler in 1935, to Rudolph and Elizabeth (McAndrew) Bachofner. She attended Butler area schools.

Norma was married to Leroy Fair (deceased) from 1952 to 1981, and Rueben Kamerer (deceased) from 1983-1984. She is survived by her partner, Gary Double.

Norma worked for the Butler Area School District food service since 1966, from which she retired. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran church.

Norma belonged to the American Legion in Butler, where she had many friends.

Norma is survived by her loving son, Bruce Fair and his wife, Marie, and their children. She is also survived by a sister, Betty Kraus, who resides in Butler; and by three stepchildren, and grandchildren. She has many nieces and nephews whom she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and a son, Richard, who died in 1999.

Norma will be missed every day and will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. The family wants to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers for Norma.

KAMERER — A private funeral for Norma Kamerer, who died Friday, March 22, 2024, has taken place.
