Gloria June Miller
Gloria June Miller, 84, of Butler passed away Monday at the Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg.
She was born on June 23, 1930, in Butler to the late Ernest McCollough and June Kelly McCollough.
Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Butler High School, and then she went on to receive a secretarial degree at Butler Business School.
She worked as a secretary at Farm Credit and was a lifelong homemaker.
She was a member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church, where she volunteered with the Willing Workers.
Mrs. Miller served as a judge of elections, volunteered at the Butler Farm Show and was a member of the Unionville Grange and the Beta Mu Chapter of Beta Sigma Thi.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter, Nancy Daum and her husband, John; her two sons, William “Bill” Miller and his wife, Cyndi, and Chuck Miller and his wife, Denise, all of Butler; her eight grandchildren, Erica Funk and her husband, James, Corey, Kate and Austin Miller and Danielle, Deanna, Dana and Devanne Miller; her three great-grandchildren, Samuel, Hannah and James Funk; her sister, Dorothy Thompson of Warren, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Miller, who she married on April 2, 1955, and who passed away on July 16, 2006.
Miller — The friends of Gloria June Miller, who passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., Butler, with the Rev. Clark Sawyer officiating.
