Sing Hosanna! will present its Christmas in August dinner comedy theater show “Misdeeds at Mistletoe Mine or The Sanity Clause” at noon and 6 p.m. Aug. 15 at St. Peter’s Parish hall, 127 Franklin St. Cost is $22 for adults and $7 for children 10 and younger. Christopher Scott, an opera singer and Butler resident, will be featured as Oliver in Opera Theater of Pittsburgh’s SummerFest production of Richard Strauss’ “Capriccio.” Scott, a baritone, serves as assistant professor of music at Slippery Rock University where he teaches a voice studio and other music courses. “Capriccio” begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday and at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Art Deco Theater at the Twentieth Century Club, 4201 Bigelow Blvd. Tickets start at $25.
