Voting
While everyone is entitle to their choice as to who to vote for (this is why our lives are not boring), let me tell you a little about my choice and why I think like I do.
Tom Corbett has already proven himself in the job he currently has. He has snagged more crooks than anyone else that I can remember. I look at Dan Onarato as another Rendell. While Rendell decided to tax the smokers big time (no I'm not a smoker), you sure didn't see him do anything to the drinkers (have you ever taken a good look at him? Tell me he doesn't drink a lot - yeah, um right).
As far as my choosing Mike Kelly as a pick, I am basing this one my individual dealings with the man. I purchased a vehicle from his dealership and he finished up our paperwork for us and thanked us for buying locally. That was over 6 years ago and I still get invitations for things at the dealership and have never had a problem with Kelly's. What I'm trying to say is that if he is successful enough to run a business, then I think he can do okay in the government status. I've seen the man at work for our City Council and he is a go getter. As far as the Cash for Clunkers crap that I've been reading about, geez the man had a dealership, the government made the offer, what would you do in his shoes - say sorry government, I don't want any of the money - you keep it? I think not. Plus his dealership could've been one of the ones they closed, but it wasn't. He does not live in a high faluting neighborhood, he lives right up the street from me and I live in the city. Think about the men/women themselves and their ethics and basis for their decisions before you make your choice. Good Luck! God Bless us all. P.S. I changed from Democrat to Republican if that tells you how I feel about who is currently in office. And Nancy Pelosi? She scares the Bejesus out of me. God help us all if she ever has to take over....she reminds me of a particular professor (unnamed and now retired - thank goodness) who taught at BC3 and was a definite women's libber and let you know it - you didn't hold a door open for her if you were a man - she's probably hit you with it.
