JEFFERSON TWP — Knoch’s Public Forum Debate team of Michael Kennedy and Ryan Welsh will advance as one of three teams from the area to qualify for the Pennsylvania High School Speech League state tournament at Susquehanna University March 23-24.

A qualifying tournament was held Feb. 25 and the team scored three wins and one loss.

Jon Whalen and Joe Hutchinson finished with the third highest point total and will serve as an alternate to the state tournament. Leann Colella placed fourth overall for Dramatic Interpretation and is also an alternate to the state tournament.
