SUMMIT TWP — The Butler Football Hometown Hero Golf Outing takes place at 7:30 a.m. May 21 at Hiland Golf Course.

Fee is $70 per golfer for the four-man scramble, which serves as a fund-raiser for the Hometown Hero program. Fee covers golf, cart, hot dog, beverage and prizes.

Inline hockey tryoutsBUTLER TWP — Tryouts for the Butler Tornado Inline hockey team will take place Saturday and May 22 at the Family Sports Center.Tryouts from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday are for grades 34-8. Tryouts from 6 to 8 p.m. May 22 are for grades 9-12.Players can be from the Butler Area School District or any school district that does not have inline hockey.
