MARS — Two students in the Mars School District are winners in the state’s 22nd Alcohol Education Poster Contest.

The state Liquor Control Board honored 50 students across the state.

Brooke Cenci, a second grader at Mars Elementary School, and Claire Valentine, a seventh grader at Mars Middle School, were selected from Butler County. Students relayed messages against underage drinking through creative designs.

The Liquor Control Board will use the student designs to create posters, bookmarks and coloring sheets to share with students throughout the state.

In addition, the grade winners will have their artwork reproduced in a calendar. Students who created the best art will receive cash prizes.

The winning posters will be displayed in the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg through Friday.
